honey, i'm hoooomeee!

I always tried for commitment.
I mean, I'm not doing too shabby, it's just been a while since I've posted. And I apologize for that. Except I have excuses, and even though "nothing ruins an apology like an excuse" I think you deserve to hear mine.

First, I had mono, and strep throat. I was kind of completely dead for a while. hanging onto life by a thread. I even fainted in a stairwell. That bad.

Second, WGI world championships. I competed! while I was suffering from the first excuse. as you can see. more dead. oops.

Third-ly.? Finals. time for studying, and such... learning all the material over again. yay college.

Fourth-ish. Going home for summer. I had people to see and things to do. Not much computer time.

But i'm back now! did you miss me? I know you did.
I'll keep in touch ;)

Blood is thicker than water, but milk mixed with blood is a pretty pink color.

Good morning! ish.
I just watched the show with ze frank! if you haven't watched it, you should! he's a guy that kept a video blog I watched. He used to greet his blog watchers with "hello sports racers!" or such. he referred to his listeners to as sports racers. I wish I had something like that. So, new game. Send me a name of what you, the readers, would like to be referred to as so I can actually speak to you. Post it, and I'll pick the best one! or have people in my dorm vote or something like that.
p.s. if you're like me and you're going to look up ze frank now that i've mentioned it, it's called "the show" and my favorite episode is "5-15-06" also known as "Hindsight". By far the best.

In other news, I had my first attempt at writing poetry today. Encouraged to do so by my friend Kaan Koseler, I was proud of my first poem. and also thank you to Tammy Atha for reading it and giving me feedback. And for telling me that she liked it. Praise from a poet for your poetry makes you feel excellent.

in other news of the blogosphere. it's four in the morning, and I need to go to bed. goodnight, and please, share your name ideas. I'm dying to know.

If we're being negative; don't be positive.

First off, everyone please listen the the song Chacaron by El Chombo.
This is not a request. If you don't watch it, you're not allowed to read the rest of this blog.
Watch now.

I'm serious.
Watch it.

Alright. Now that you've appreciated what the music business has been brought down to; please find Rebecca Black, and her song Friday.

Cry.
Cry again.
And please, cry for what the world has become.
If you don't mind, please allow me to quote.
"Yesterday was Thursday, and Today is Friday."
"Tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday is afterwards"

Thanks Rebecca Black. I didn't know the order of the days of the week. I'm proud of you for knowing them. as you're you know. fourteen.

Anyway onto other news.
when cooking spaghetti-os (sorry dad. and ang.) apparently you need to take them out of the can before heating.
now before you go criticizing, I didn't put them in the microwave. But a metal can on a convection oven is really hot when your spaghetti-os are done, and it hurts to to grab it.
also, stirring with a plastic knife is a bad idea too.

In addition to being terrible at cooking food that's bad for me, today I came upon a stunning realization.
I'm a nerd.
or geek. call it what you like.
Today on my way to Calculus 3. Walking to class, I found myself immensely enjoying a conversation with my two friends, one of which is a Math/Stats major, and the other is a computer science major, involving the efficiency of computers, such as the Pentium 4 processor and how they used to be considered fast, and we also compared the speed of different browsers such as Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome.
After this exhilarating conversation, much later in the evening I was once again speaking with one of my comrades after Steel Band practice. We conversed about the video game Legend of Zelda. Now, if you do not know me, it is my absolute favorite game. As this conversation continued, we also spoke about television programs such as Naruto, and Dragonball Z; once again, two that I very much enjoy. I just don't share that openly (whoops, there you go internet) because most people judge you very strictly for that. And while I am a nerd, most people don't know that, due to my level of appearing like I'm not. Most nerds don't drum either, so I got that going for me too.  (eat you're hearts out grammar police,)

In other news, I'd like to share that my sister Rachel would be exorbitantly proud of me, I am learning the art of DANCE. Slowly yet surely, my experience in one of WGI's finest, MATRIX PERCUSSION, I have been not only drumming, but learning the art of dance from many of the visual ensemble members. I first began learning their dances by watching, and slowly have mastered nearly all of them. The only thing left to do is to actually learn dance, and they have been working with much synergy to teach me how to be a dancer. I hope their efforts are not in vain.

And now for something I've been waiting to do for a long time. Rant and rave about something that no one cares about, and since you're a basically captive audience, It's the perfect time to do it.
If I, and/or people around me are being "negative"; don't be "positive". There are several reasons why, but the biggest one is that while you may be trying to help, you're really only going to make me be negative, longer. If I'm in a bad mood, I'm going to continue just to spite you if nothing else. Also your optimistic outlook will more likely make me feel worse. So really, you're not helping, just let me go and finish what I'm doing and I'll knock out of it eventually.

Well that's it, thanks for reading, and we're done for today.

Oh, a last addendum, Spaghetti-Os without meatballs are terrible.

I'm bad at everything.

Well, Blogs.
I'm not a blogger by any means, but there are a couple of things that give me faith.
One. I was reading my sister's and my cousin's blogs earlier today so I figured, how hard could it be?
although this does present a few problems. such as. I'm not funny. Nor do I have anything important to write about such as nutrition and replacing ramen as a staple in my diet. So there is the issue of what I'm actually going to write about. But I guess that will fix itself in time.
Two. It's not exactly like anyone can be terrible at blogging right? I only have a few things to watch. such as my vocabulary, being non-repetitious, and my mouth. I'm all too good at vulgarity, and offending people. I'll try to avoid that.
and Three.
I'm not good at anything.
and because I'm not good at anything, I must be good at blogging. That's how it works right?

There isn't much I have going for me. Like I said, I'm bad at everything.
I'm an average height underweight scrawny white male. I wear glasses, and I'm nerdy. But I mean, I'm not a nerd. I'm not that smart. I'm not good at things that aren't that useful anyways. such as card games.
There's not much about me that stands out. I drum, but I'm not fantastic.
I have average goals to lead an average life.
in conclusion.
I'm an average Joe.
convenient cause that's my name.

Well some things about me.

I'm Joe.
Capricorn
Drummer
I like to Swim and Drum
Euchre is my card game of choice.
And I listen to more than 16 gigs of music.
I quote obsessively, and I'm always glad when people catch it.
I am a fan of extended metaphor.
that's about it. you'll learn more as we go. so keep in touch for our next game.
